CHLOÉ BECOMES LUXURY INDUSTRY’S FIRST B-CORP

October 23, 2021

A big milestone in luxury fashion

This is the first time that a major player in the European luxury industry has achieved certification as a B-Corp – an accreditation given to companies that are demonstrably committed to making a positive social and environmental impact beyond creating shareholder value.

After announcing last year that it would become a B-Corp, the Paris-based handbag maker has converted to using materials with zero environmental impact, partnered with Fair Trade certified suppliers, and pledged to promote women’s equality, the brand said.

By making this move, Chloé is aligning itself with companies like outdoor sports company Patagonia and direct-to-consumer shoemaker Allbirds that make sustainability a key part of their message to consumers.
