What if you love nature but don’t really want to go camping this summer? Consider this: luxury hotel concepts paired with glamping. Welcome to the Glen Oro Farm, your new staycation destination.
Here, you can enjoy luxury boutique style stays on Luke Sedgewick’s two-hundred acre family-owned horse farm.
Sedgewick has been working on the idea since 2017. The park just opened last year after a lot of hard work and environmental studies
“It didn’t really take shape until 2017. I’ve always worked in hospitality, adventure tourism and luxury travel. We were able to figure out a way that we could incorporate that with the heritage, the horse element and farming in general. It’s agritourism here on the farm,” Sedgewick explains.
Each of the farm’s ten units has a see-through ceiling so guests can observe the stars. Some have basic hotel-like amenities such as electricity and plumbing.
The luxury camping at Glen Oro Farm is eco-friendly and sustainable. It is called an eco retreat. “We are striving for the best environmental practices possible,” says Sedgewick.
