The holidays are fast approaching, and we have plenty of time to prepare and decorate. We are all stuck in a rut when it comes to decorating and elevating our current spaces. Each of us has different style choices, and Pinterest boards we can keep ourselves inspired with, and today I thought the Penthouse Queen would share with you a few tips to keep your rooms looking expensive, and ready for any sort of visit.
- CREATIVE WALL MOLDING
- Your living room can go from a modest 6 to an elegant 10. Getting a high-end look in your room on a budget is easy with this remedy. You can do it yourself in a weekend with a little time and DIY know-how. Regardless of whether you choose to hire a professional, the expense remains relatively low.
- You know your local thrift store? They typically have the cutest finds. Whether it’s the ponshop by the highway, or your mother’s best-kept room decor, it’s always a perfect match for an elegant, and luxurious room. othing gives a room a sense of wisdom and history more so than a lovely antique. A few pieces of large-scale furniture, lighting, or mirrors can make a big difference, but also subtle, small accessories can come in handy. It can seem as though you spent more money than you really did by adding antique boxes, sculptural wall sconces, or even antique picture frames to your room’s décor.
- METALIC FINISHES
- It is important not to overdo metallic surfaces when decorating a room, however. Make your room look expensive by using gold leaf mirrors, brass tables, vintage silver, etc.
- FRESH FLOWERS
- The more beautiful and lush the bouquet, the more instantly uplifting the mood of the room. It doesn’t mean you require a huge ostentatious display on every surface, but ensure any bouquets you display are not sparse, but rather full and lush.
How will you step-up your luxurious decor this season? Let me know!
