The InterContinental Yorkville’s outdoor domes for private dining and will be back for the winter. With the current situation and most of Ontario reverting back to Stage 2, these outdoor domes are needed now more than ever.
Outdoor domes have been a feature in the InterContinental Yorkville in previous years but this year has made it more essential for them to offer a heated outdoor dining area.
Three domes are available for booking from October 16 to February 29 and a phone line is open for reservations from 10am to 4pm every day and the domes are available five days a week from 4 pm to 11 pm.
Each dome has a large door that remains open to the outside. The dome will also have two large vents and windows to allow for continuous air flow. They’ve also added outdoor heating ready for when the weather gets colder again.
After each experience, hospital grade cleaners are used to disinfect the whole dining area and there’s an hour of rest period between each reservation to allow for air to circulate in each dome.
The lounge tasting menu includes a hot chocolate, or glass of Chardonnay or Cabernet-Merlot; a choice between calamari, wings, a cheese board, Mediterranean flatbread or poutine; and then one chocolate-dipped strawberry per person.
Each reservation can run up to an hour long and cost $50 per person for a minimum of 2 and max of 4 people per reservation. Proceeds from reservations will go towards Nellie’s Shelter for Women and Children.
