What to Expect

This is going to be the ultimate SUV for those wanting to take on the world of electric cars. This electric crossover boasts a flat floor, hands-off driving mode, a range of up to 300 miles, and a $47,000-ish price tag.

The Design

Bravo to the Ariya’s stylists, who showed no fear. Nissan calls the design theme “Timeless Japanese Futurism.” Upon first seeing the Ariya, I wasn’t quite sure what to make of its individualistic design, but now I’m starting to realize that it is that that makes it a one of its kind!

Ariya is relatively smaller than the conventional Murano midsize SUV, but it sits somewhere in between Audi’s smaller Q4 E-Tron and Tesla’s larger Model Y.  Despite its bulky design and shape, it looks as impressive as Nissan’s Murano, featuring a robot-warrior grille and clean windows.

Nissan will offer the Ariya in six two-tone paint schemes, so clearly, it is prepared to grab onlookers by the neck and forcefully remind them that the future is now.

The Nissan Ariya’s Onboard Safety & Technology:

Nissan has designed its Ariya to include a suite of active safety and driver assistance systems, including what Nissan calls Pro PILOT Assist v2.0, which it will offer on the Premiere FWD and Platinum Plus e-FORCE trims. As part of the Venture Plus trim, Nissan offers Pro Pilot Assist with Navi-link. Pro Pilot will allow drivers to take their hands off the wheel under certain conditions, primarily on divided highways that aren’t too twisty. Ariya’s monitoring system, like Cadillac’s Super Cruise, examines the driver’s attention. Pro PILOT Park, Nissan’s automated parking system, is also included on the Premiere FWD and Platinum Plus.

There will be tons of infotainment technology on the Ariya, including wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto through Nissan Connect. There will also be voice control for most car features. It will be possible to update the Ariya’s powertrain, chassis, and climate system over-the-air as well as the infotainment unit.

Though there are so many other benefits that the Ariya offers, this promises to be a grand car to invest in! However, it has been alleged that due  to pricing and supply, the release will be delayed. But worry not, Nissan will be keeping you secure, on the road, and being kind to the environment!
