Hyatt plans to expand its lifestyle and luxury hotel brands globally, opening new properties in Houston and Tokyo, including Thompson Hotels and The Unbound Collection hotels.
Thompson Hotels are opening new hotels near home, including the 36-story Thompson Houston in November and the Palm Springs in December. Other resorts include Sunscape Coco Punta Cana, Dreams Estrella del Mar Mazatlán, Secrets Tulum Resort & Beach Club, and Dream Valle de Guadalupe. Thompson South Beach in Miami and Park Hyatt Los Cabos in Cabo del Sol will also debut in early and mid-2024.
The Andaz Doha opens in October, offering 256 rooms, 32 suites, 56 residences, and diverse dining options in West Bay, near Doha's luxury shopping areas. The Unbound Collection by Hyatt will debut in Frankfurt, Germany, with Kennedy 89, a luxury hotel with 181 rooms and suites. Other openings for 2024 include Dream Doha, Dreams Madeira Resort, Spa & Marina, Park Hyatt London River Thames, Thompson Rome, and Zoëtry Halkidiki Resort & Spa.
Hyatt's expansion in Asia and the Pacific continues with new openings. The company opened the fourth Andaz property in China, the Andaz Nanjing Hexi, in April, and will open The Unbound Collection by Hyatt in Tokyo in October. The Hotel Toranomon Hills will be located in Tokyo's business hub, offering 205 rooms, working spaces, and a Michelin-starred restaurant experience. In 2024, Hyatt plans to open the Hyatt Centric Zhongshan Park Shanghai, Caption by Hyatt Zhongshan Park Shanghai, Alila Dongao Island, Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, and Hyatt Centric City Centre Kuala Lumpur.
